The Seven Resurrections of God
Introduction According to Webster's Dictionary, resurrection is defined as 1) the rising of Christ from the dead, and 2) the rising again to life of all the human dead before the final judgment. The scripture says
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Hebrews 9:27-28
Since Christ has already risen (please see The Resurrection of Jesus Christ ), this account will only address 2). Although the resurrection of 2) is called by different names, there will only be two resurrections: the resurrection of those who are Saved and the resurrection of those who are Lost. There will be several manifestations of the resurrection of the Saved, but only one manifestation of the resurrection of the Lost. All cited scripture is included at the end of this account.
The Resurrection Process Generally speaking, the resurrection process is the reunification of a dead body with its former living soul and spirit which results in a living, eternal body. God, of course, is the One who accomplishes all resurrections. As will be explained below, the circumstances surrounding the several manifestations of the first and second resurrections will vary.
The Stages of Resurrection The resurrection of the Saved and the resurrection of the Lost encompasses five time periods:
• the resurrection at the time of the Rapture ( 1, 2, and 3 below )
• the resurrection during the Day of the Lord ( 4 below )
• the resurrection during the Day of the Lord ( 5 below )
• the resurrection immediately after Armageddon ( 6 below )
• the resurrection of the Millennial Righteous immediately before the Great White Throne Judgment ( 7 below ) ( ® below )
• the resurrection of all the Lost at the Great White Throne Judgment
The First Resurrection All Old Testament believers in Christ their Messiah will enter into this resurrection, as well as all the dead in Christ who were born-again believers while they lived. The first resurrection is the Resurrection of the Saved. The following assemblies of believers will take part in the first resurrection:
1. All Old Testament (OT) believers from Abel to Abraham ( excluding Elijah and Enoch )
2. All OT believers from Abraham to 29 AD ( excluding those who went into Assyrian captivity in 721 BC )
All OT/NT believers from 29 AD to 96 AD ( includes the Apostles )
3. All the dead-in-Christ believers at the time of the Rapture : All Christians alive at the time of the Rapture ( see A Unique Resurrection below )
4. All Tribulation Martyrs ( 144,000 Jewish evangelists and their converts: Revelation 7:9-14 )
5. Enoch and Elijah ( Genesis 5:24 and II Kings 2:11; resurrected in Revelation 11:3-12 )
6. The whole House of Israel; the Assyrian Captivity ( see The Valley of Dry Bones below )
7. All the righteous who die during the millennial rule of Christ ( ® below, Revelation 20:5 )
The Saved of 1., 2., and 3. will resurrect at the Rapture of the Church; the Saved of 4. and 5. will resurrect towards the end of the Great Tribulation; the Saved of 6. will resurrect at the beginning of Christ’s Millennial rule (), and the Saved of 7. (®) will resurrect immediately before the Great White Throne Judgment.
A Unique Resurrection In the scripture that follows, we see that the bodies of Christians who are alive at the time of the Rapture of the Church will be changed from a corruptible body into an incorruptible body, an immortal body. But we also see that this transformation of the body will occur in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye:
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 1Corinthians 15:51-55
On closer inspection, we see O death, where is thy sting? This is a reference to the instantaneous death and instantaneous resurrection of the body, whose effect will hardly be felt because of the quickness with which it will take place. And, of course, the grave will not claim the immortal body, so there is no victory for the grave. Thus, Christians who are alive at the Rapture will undergo a very unique resurrection indeed. Christians undergoing this transformation will be preceded in this unique resurrection by those who are dead in Christ:
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1Thessalonians 4:13-17

The resurrections just before the Marriage Supper of the Lamb These events involve all the Tribulation Period martyrs for Christ (including Enoch and Elijah).
( Genesis 5:24 and II Kings 2:11; resurrected in Revelation 11:3-12 )
The resurrection after the Battle of Armageddon This event involves the raising from the dead the Whole House of Israel, the slain of the ten tribes of Israel who were taken captive in 721 BC by Assyria and scattered abroad. This will be a literal, physical resurrection, like unto that of Enoch and Elijah, and will be witnessed to by all those who will be around the graves of these saints of the House of Israel. See Ezekiel 36:17-28.
The resurrection of the Millennial Righteous ® denotes the resurrection of the righteous who die during the millennial rule of Christ. This resurrection takes place after the millennial rule of Christ ( see Revelation 20:5 ).
The resurrection of the Lost This event takes place at the Great White Throne Judgment, where all the lost of all the ages will be formally sentenced by Jesus Christ and cast into the Lake of Fire to burn for all eternity. This assembly will include all the Lost, from Cain? to the last rebel of the last battle after Christ’s millennial rule on Earth. The crime for which their name will have been blotted out of the Book of Life will be that of not acknowledging Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Note on Day of the Lord
This note sets the stage for resurrections 4 and 5 above. For some people, the phrase Day of the Lord seems to speak of the day in which they die and meet the Lord. For others, this phrase is understood to mean the resurrection of the believer. But within the context of the seven-year Tribulation Period, this phrase defines the time span of the Great Tribulation ( last 3 1/2 years ). First, consider these scriptures:
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 1Thessalonians 5:1-3
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:10
From other scripture, we know that the nation of Israel will sign a seven-year peace treaty with the Antichrist ( not realizing his true identity ), only to have him break this treaty after 3 1/2 years ( Daniel 9:27 ). At that time, the Antichrist will enter into the holiest of the temple and declare himself to be God. Up to this time, the Antichrist has promised peace and safety to Israel ( sound familiar? ), but this act of desecration ( known as the abomination of desolation ) will come upon Israel as a thief in the night, and Israel will be thrown into panic when the Antichrist's true identity is realized. But while Satan's attack is thrown into high gear at this time, so is the Lord Jesus' attack thrown into high gear:
And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? Revelation 6:12,15-17
And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: Acts 2:19-20
These scriptures are just now introducing the great wrath of God to come in the seven trumpet and seven vial judgments of God, directed by Jesus Christ Himself from the throne of God in Heaven. Thus, the Day of the Lord encompasses the entire Great Tribulation period, and is seen to be directed by our Lord Jesus Christ:
For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: John 5:22
Yet before that day of judgment comes, as Christians we read these comforting words in Thessalonians:
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Thessalonians 5:4-9
As of now, many of the Jewish nation are in darkness concerning the Lord Jesus Christ:
For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. Romans 11:25
What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded ( According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear; ) unto this day. And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them: Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway. Romans 11:7-10
End of Note on Day of the Lord
Note on the 144,000 Witnesses There is much confusion today about the identity of the 144,000 witnesses of the coming Tribulation Period. These witnesses will be Jewish, male virgins. Beyond this, there are certain attributes that they will possess:
-
Their ministry will be during The Day of the Lord ( Last 3 1/2 years of the Tribulation Period )
-
They will need God's seal to protect them from being tormented by scorpion-like locusts ( Revelation 9:4 )
-
They will have natural bodies, not resurrected bodies ( resurrected bodies need no protection from Satan )
-
The Tribulation saints and their converts must attend the Marriage Supper of the Lamb ( Revelation 7:9-14 )
-
In the absence of scripture to the contrary, they must go through Death, just as their converts. ( Hebrews 9:27-28 )
-
If the seal on their foreheads is visible, it will serve to identify them to the Lost as Preachers of the Word of God. If it is invisible, then only the supernatural locusts will notice it. The seal will not offer any protection from Satan unless God intervenes; millions of Christians in past centuries were sealed with the Holy Spirit, yet suffered martyrdom
-
The scriptures suggest that martyrdom results in "a better resurrection" ( Hebrews 12:32-35 )
-
The souls under the altar may be referring to these 144,000 in Revelation 6:9-11
The Resurrection of the Tribulation Saints Since the Bible does not give us any information on the actual resurrection of the 144,000 and does not give us any information such as the Unique Resurrection above, it is very likely that they will be resurrected all at one time, as soon as the last of the 144,000 has finished his course, well before the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, which they must attend. The scriptures speak of a great multitude, which no man could number (Revelation 7:9), which are the converts due to the efforts of the 144,000, and which includes the 144,000 themselves. Their ministry takes place during the Great Tribulation. In addition to these, there will be two more witnesses, who some believe will be Elijah and Enoch. Their resurrection will be on world-wide display, and will astonish the world ( Revelation11:3-12 ), for they will be raised from the dead by God after being dead for three and one-half days, and will ascend unto Heaven in the presence of their enemies.
The Valley of Dry Bones The prophet Ezekiel was shown a valley of very dry bones in a vision by God. After prophesying to these bones as God instructed him, the bones were covered with flesh, stood on their feet, and were an exceeding great army. Also, God told Ezekiel that this was the whole house of Israel, and that He would bring them back into Israel from all the foreign lands whereunto they had been taken ( I believe that this great army will consist of all those Jews who bolted from the united nation of Israel under king Jeroboam as well as those of the Holocaust )
Note The united nation of Israel under king Solomon received a pronouncement by God that because of Solomon's worshipping of Easter ( Ashtoreth ) that He was going to rend the kingdom of Israel, and the same was accomplished under king Rehoboam around 975 BC. The rent kingdom consisted of the southern kingdom of Judah and Benjamin and the northern kingdom of Israel ( the other ten tribes of Israel ). From that time until 721 BC, Israel fell into gross idolatry, worshipping the gods of Egypt. In 721 BC, the king of Assyria invaded and conquered Israel, taking it captive into its own land and scattering them from thence. Thus, in time, these tribes lost their identity. The tribes of Judah and Benjamin were inhabiting Jerusalem and its surroundings at the time of Jesus' birth. In 70 AD, Judah and Benjamin were conquered, the temple destroyed, and the people were taken away as slaves of the Roman Empire. Thus, they too lost their identity over time.
We know from the scriptures that some of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin will be at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, which takes place before the Battle of Armageddon. At the Last Supper, Jesus told His apostles
But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom Matthew 26:29
Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. Revelation 19:7-9
Therefore, we know that the apostles will be at the Lamb's Supper, but we also know that there were none of the kingdom of Israel present at the Last Supper. Lest we whitewash the tribes of Judah and Benjamin, however, we cannot forget that some of these very same people were the ones that insisted that Pilate crucify Jesus. However, our concern regarding the Valley of Dry Bones is not with any of the Jews before 70 AD, but only for those Jews who were taken into captivity at that time and subsequently scattered into other lands, as well as for the kingdom of Israel after 721 BC.
The dry bones of this Valley are those of the slain, but we are not told under what circumstances they were slain. We are reminded of the Great Holocaust of World War II, in which it is believed that six million Jews were committed to the gas chambers under Hitler. Could this be some of the slain? It is certainly not up to us to determine the fate of the Jews, for who are we to judge another man's servant? ( Romans 14:4 ) There are several compelling scriptures that God is not only willing to forgive the nation of Israel, but that He insists He is certainly going to do so ( Ezekiel 36:17-28 ). Nonetheless, we are still left with the prophecy that this future resurrection of the whole house of Israel will definitely take place after the Battle of Armageddon.
Another Interesting Resurrection Since God has promised to bring back the slain into their own land after their resurrection, we know that this has to take place after the Battle of Armageddon because
1. there are presently no resurrected people anywhere ( except for the Lord Jesus )
2. when God brings these slain back into Israel, their identities will be known
3. Israel will have no enemies to contend with at that time
Conditions two and three will only be possible after the Tribulation. Moreover, it is impossible that they resurrect during the Tribulation - what would be the purpose in their doing so? This last point needs further explanation. The reason that these slain will resurrect after the Battle of Armageddon is because God has a special purpose regarding their resurrection. As we read the scriptures closely, we can almost get the sense that this resurrection will be a world-wide phenomenon in which God will display His enduring mercy for all the world to witness - a physical rapture, as it were - right before the very eyes of the entire world to see. Consider these scriptures:
Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord. Ezekiel 37:12-14
What is significant in these scriptures is God's emphasis on a physical description of what He is going to do. These grave openings will be literal events, and will be witnessed by anyone around the graves of the slain. In contrast, the dead-in-Christ at the Rapture will not require an opening of the grave at all, a fact that Jesus demonstrated when He arose long before the stone was rolled away in an earthquake. This earth-shaking event of the resurrection of the slain of the Valley of Dry Bones will not only be a powerful display of God's awesome power, but it will instill in the resurrected slain a sense of gratitude beyond comprehension toward their Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, even though these saints will miss the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, they will still enjoy being in the presence of the Son of God in the very land of their fathers during the millennial rule of Jesus Christ.
The Resurrection of the Millennial Righteous Among the survivors of the Great Tribulation will be that portion of the nation of Israel which the Lord will protect from His wrath and the wrath of Satan ( Revelation 12:1-6 ). These people will still be in their natural flesh and blood bodies. We can invoke the scripture at the very beginning of this account and I Corinthians 15:46-50 to show that these people cannot enter into eternity with their bodies of flesh and blood. Therefore, in the absence of scripture telling us otherwise, these survivors must go through the portal of death as the rest of mankind has done throughout history. Their salvation will be obtained just like that of all believers; they must have faith and trust in Christ as their Redeemer. Even though King Jesus will be on the Throne of David in Jerusalem, some will still rebel against Him, and this unbelief will infect an amazing multitude by the end of the millennial rule of Christ, as the Bible tells us in Revelation 20:7-9. During the millennial rule of Christ, however, some will accept Jesus as their Savior and while they will still enter into death, nevertheless they will be saved and will constitute the last manifestation of the First Resurrection, the resurrection of the Saved ( Revelation 20:5 ). Their resurrection is depicted as taking place at ® on the timeline above.
The Resurrection of the Lost This resurrection will take place after the little season that follows the thousand-year rule of Jesus Christ on this Earth (Revelation 20:13 ). The following are two scriptures which speak of this resurrection:
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time : and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. Daniel 12:1-2
And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:11-15
The Bible contains many references to the book, which are references concerning the Book of Life that is ultimately the Lamb's Book. Since Jesus lights every man that comes into the world ( John 1:6-9 ), He is the author of the Book of Life. And as Savior, He is also the author of the Lamb's Book of Life. At the Great White Throne Judgment, these two books will be one and the same, since the Lost at this time will not have accepted Jesus as their Savior while they yet lived. Their names will not appear in the Book of Life, for they will have been blotted out ( Revelation 13:8; 17:8; 21:27 ). And their eternal punishment will be meted out according to their works, which are recorded in the Books of Deeds:
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Revelation 20:12-13
Finally, every soul in the Lake of Fire that has been cast there for not acknowledging and accepting Jesus as their Savior will have an eternal companion. It will be his own personal worm, gnawing at him for all eternity:
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. Mark 9:44-48
The Resurrection of the Just In Luke's gospel, the Lord Jesus refers to this resurrection:
But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot ecompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.* Luke 14:13,14
* Strong's Concordance defines “just” as meaning innocent, holy, and righteous; all these attributes are conferred on Christians ( and also on OT saints who trusted in the Son of God as their Messiah ) by virtue of the blood of Christ alone. Thus, the resurrection of the Just is an example of the First Resurrection of the Saved .
Some Comments on The Last Day
And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:39-40
And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. John 12:47-48
As we see in these scriptures, the phrase the last day is used for both believers and for unbelievers. And since we know that both will not be raised and/or judged on the same day, the phrase in the last day has unique applicability to both classes. Some scholars believe that the phrase the last day is the day that a person dies and meets the Lord. But this cannot be, for the apostle Paul tells us that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord", thus telling us that when we die, we immediately meet the Lord, yet we are not raised up ( i.e., resurrected ) at that time. But we do know conclusively that lost sinners will be resurrected to appear at the Great White Throne Judgment, and that that will take place sometime after the millennial rule of Christ on Earth. This proves that in that day cannot possibly apply to both classes if that phrase refers to the same unique chronological date. Consider the words of Martha:
Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? John 11:23-26
The Lord Jesus did not correct Martha and tell her that Lazarus would not resurrect on the last day. Therefore, the Christ-believers at that time fully expected that they would be resurrected on some future date known simply as the last day. We can determine when this last day must be for the Old Testament ( OT ) saints by appealing to those events which are to take place in the future. It must occur before Christ sets up His millennial Kingdom here on Earth and before the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. The Old Testament saints became acquainted with the Lord Jesus when He preached to them in Paradise for the three days that His body was in the tomb. So, while they were saved by faith without knowing His Name, they came to know Him intimately during that time, and so will partake in the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in Heaven. Therefore, for each person that has lived, or lives, on this earth, the Last Day is the day that they are resurrected. The only question is, will the OT saints be resurrected at the time of the Rapture, towards the end of the Tribulation Period, or after the Battle of Armageddon? ( ans. yes, yes, yes )
Summary of the Seven Resurrections of God Jesus Christ was the first person to resurrect. The six bulleted resurrections listed under The Stages of Resurrection section above, along with the resurrection of Jesus Christ, complete the seven resurrections of God.

And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. 2Kings 2:11
And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. Revelation 11:3-12
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Daniel 9:27
And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. Revelation 9:3-4
And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. Revelation 14:3-5
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Hebrews 9:27-28
And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: Hebrews 11:32-35
And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. Revelation 6:9-11
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; Revelation 7:9
Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. Romans 14:4
Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman. Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it: And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them. And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the Lord, and are gone forth out of his land. But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went. Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went. And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. Ezekiel 36:17-28
And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. Revelation 12:1-6
Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 1Corinthians 15:46-50
And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. Revelation 20:7-9
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Revelation 20:4-5
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. John 1:6-9
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Revelation 13:8
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. Revelation 17:8
And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. Revelation 21:27
